INNER CITY ENDURO 2016
Inner City Enduro or ICE is what is capturing the imagination of the Extreme Enduro Riders and Fans alike all over the world. Using the natural and man-made obstacles of the Inner city and letting loose a bunch of professional extreme enduro riders is what ICE is all about. The 1st two rounds of ICE were staged in the coastal city of Port Elizabeth South Africa with the Baakens Valley being the perfect playground.
ICE adopts the concept of Last Man standing where each lap of the short 1.3km circuit which is littered with both man made and natural obstacles. Each lap sees the last rider being eliminated and it is spectator heaven with the first two ICE events attracting over 35 000 spectators.
South Africa’s Red Bull athlete Wade Young is defending champion and won the 2016 event on his new Sherco 300 with Brett Swanepoel on his Yamaha 250 in 2nd place and 3rd place on his KTM was Travis Teasdale.
